However, we’ve noticed that a lot of our theme users have been discrediting our work by removing the links to our site from the footer, and then asking for support. That’s pretty cheeky, aye? The more savvy and SEO conscious users are adding a “nofollow” tag to the link. In either case, we won’t be providing any support to those users- in fact, we’ll completely ignore you. Of course, you can always remove the link after you’ve used our free theme and free support, but we’ll leave that to your own conscious to deal with (if you have one, that is).

We’re not asking for much, and we believe we’re being fair. We’ll provide you with a free theme, with free support- all you have to do is give us a little credit by leaving the link to BrightCherry in tact.

If you’re guilty of doing it, but didn’t realise it was a problem, then that’s completely cool. No big deal. We all make misjudgements.

On a brighter note, I’d just like to say thanks to everyone who has been sending us positive notes about the themes we have created. They’ll definitely be more on the way…

Since we are BrightCherry, we planned on focusing all our themes on a fruity palette. Oh well. It was actually created for a friend, but I decided to make it public instead.

Requests

I’ve had a few people throw in some theme requests over the past few weeks. Apparently our fruit basket is short of a Banana theme. I’ll hopefully get around to that in the next couple of weeks, so keep your eyes peeled.

While i’m happy to take requests, i’d just like to remind you all that building free templates is not our core business; it’s just something we’re experimenting with We actually DO charge clients for most of our professional services.

Support

A few people have required support, which we’re more than happy to provide. In some cases, i’ve recoded a few themes to meet the demands of individuals that want to use our themes. Like I said, more than happy to do that. So if you have any problems, just let us know, and we’ll do our best to assist.

Basically, we’re going to design a series of free fruity templates for the public to download. Why are we doing this? We want to create some exposure, and paint our name all over town.

The free templates will all be pretty basic and generic, consequently be constructed on a slim-jim timescale as dishing out freebies won’t be our core business (sorry, we’ve got to eat, people!!).
